Portland is a lovely location for a days walking. The air is
clean the views are good, the history is enthralling.
Luckily for us, John is something of an expert on the island of
Portland and much is learnt on our Sunday walk around the island
.
It was a hot day in 2000, and just after an ice-cream stop at Portland
Bill, we all congregated at Pulpit Rock for this photo.
John's 11 mile circuit of the island searches out a
range of different features. The walk is normally on
our walks programme once every two years. This photograph was of the 2000
expedition.
